What to Expect

We know that visiting a new clinic can feel uncertain, especially if it’s been a while since you’ve seen a healthcare provider. Here’s what you can expect when you visit Lansing Family Health & Wellness.

Before your visit: Call us at (336) 982-1813 to schedule an appointment. Walk-ins are welcome when space allows, but scheduling ahead ensures we can give you the time you deserve.

What to bring: A photo ID, any insurance cards you have (if applicable), a list of current medications, and any recent medical records you can access. Don’t worry if you don’t have all of these — we’ll work with what you have.

Your first visit: Plan for about 45–60 minutes. We’ll go through your health history, do a physical exam, talk about your health goals, and make a plan together. If labs or screenings are needed, we can often do those the same day.

After your visit: We’ll schedule follow-ups as needed and make sure you understand your care plan. If we refer you to a specialist, we’ll help coordinate that process.

Insurance & Sliding Fee Scale

We believe cost should never be a barrier to healthcare. Here’s how we make care affordable for everyone.

✅

Insurance Accepted

We accept Medicare, Medicaid, and most private insurance plans. We’ll verify your coverage and explain any costs before treatment.

📊

Sliding Fee Scale

For uninsured and underinsured patients, our fees are based on your income and family size. You’ll need to provide basic income documentation, and we’ll work out a fee that’s fair.

🚫

No One Turned Away

If you can’t afford to pay, you still get care. Period. We’ll figure out the financial part together, but your health comes first.

To apply for the sliding fee scale, bring proof of income (pay stubs, tax return, or benefits letter) and a photo ID to your first visit. Our staff will walk you through the process — it takes just a few minutes.
