Give Your Time
Our clinic runs on community support. Whether you have clinical skills or just want to help, there’s a place for you. We’re always looking for help with administrative and front desk support, patient outreach and community education, facilities maintenance and upkeep, event planning for health fairs and fundraisers, and grant writing and fundraising.
Volunteers are the backbone of this clinic. Stanley Parker, one of our founding volunteers, shows up every day because he believes in what we’re doing here. We’d love for you to join him.
To volunteer, call (336) 982-1813 or stop by the clinic during business hours. We’ll find the right fit for your skills and schedule.
Train the Next Generation
Through our partnerships with Wilkes Community College, East Tennessee State University, and the University of North Carolina, we host clinical students who gain hands-on experience in rural community health.
These rotations don’t just benefit students — they help address the critical shortage of healthcare providers in rural Appalachia. Students who train in rural settings are more likely to practice in underserved communities after graduation. Every student who spends time here is a potential future provider for our region.
If you’re a student or academic program interested in clinical placement, contact us at (336) 982-1813.
Are you a business, church, civic organization, or foundation that wants to support healthcare access in our community? We’d love to talk about sponsorship, in-kind support, or community health partnerships.
